3 DVD set c3 hours.

Pros

Costs £8 the three.
Lots of coverage of diesel hauled freight workings.
Interesting stock handled
Peculiarities-one train had an old fashioned guards van.

Cons.

Does not provide other than vestigial information regarding any branch line.
When filming from a closed station no attempt is made to show the facilities
Commentary very pedestrian and to me uninteresting.
Minimal reference to passenger working.

Conclusion.

I had hoped for a coverage of Branches including infrastructure and workings. This the Set does not provide. It should be titled Diesel Hauled Freight Workings on minor branches.

However if you are interested in the 60-90's its motive power and freight stock at £8 this can be seen as a bargain. I bought mine from Amazon who delivered within 3 days.

Despite the shortcomings, it would seem to be good value.

To force myself to view Vol 3 I decided to go "number copping".

There were 10 classes (Presuming that the first two digits indicate a seperate class?) and 43 locos.

(I'm sure one of the numbers I took down "wrong" just like old days?)
