An intermodal freight train arrives at Caliente and awaits passage over the single track Tehachapi Pass. The brakeman stands near his GE 4,400 hp dash 9 and gives a roll-by inspection of a downgrade freight. After it has passed he radios the 'all ok' and climbs back onboard. The train is restarted and starts the climb over the pass after carefully negotiating the tight curve over the grade crossing.
