Welcome to the 'Photo of the month' section. Each user can send upto 3 railway related photographs per month. The photograph should be most recent. For example, submissions for January`s Photo of the Month should have been taken in January of this year! We ask for nothing more than that!
The deadline for each month will NORMALLY be the 7th day of the following month.
(However, there may be a few exceptions, particularly November and December, but clear instructions will be given at that time.)
Please try to keep file sizes below 1.4M I can always request larger file of any winning entries at a later date.
Photos also need to be Landscape. This is simply because of the calendar design.
Once a photo has been submitted, you WILL NOT be allowed to change your mind, and submit an alternative, unless the administrator instructs you to do so
Happy Photting!

Hi,
Just a quick question - how should I upload the photo(s) to the forum? I can either embed it in a posting directly into the forum or just add a link to the photo on my fotopic page. Is there another way that would be preferable?
Cheers, Darryl. |

That`s a good question. I`d say photos can be uploaded directly, as long as they have been reduced in size (No more than 1.4M) or if not, simply post a link to that particular photograph (not a link to a page that the photo is on) The idea is that forum members will be able to vote for photos, so they`re going to have to see them on here somehow.
Any other suggestions, then simply post them here......

I was thinking about this the other day. Will there come a point when the number of submissions per person will be reduced. Otherwise if 50 people enter, then we have to choose from 150 pictures! _________________ 35* down, 11 to go. |

But will this ever happen???
If things do start becoming out of control, then we will obviously need to ammend the rules.............. |

Please take note once more of the general guidelines as I have updated them.
Thanks,
