I made all the models so they could be seperated into seperate sections to make it easier for the painter. Here are the parts of a GWR Castle back from the painter ready for assembly.



And the finished loco.

One more..... a slightly younger me, with a Gauge 3 (2 1/2" gauge) GWR County 4-4-0



Notice that it is standing astride Gauge 1 track! Shocked

That was the problem when I built that loco, nowhere to try it out! (I did take it to a G3 get-together before it was painted, though - just in case of problems) Wink

I'm with you there Redrock. I wish I had skills to build models like these.
However railway modelling requires such a large variety of skills maybe you have skills in a different discipline such as scenics, buildings, carpentry or electricals. I know to leave those good at building stock etc to their job and concentrate on my own speciality and that way between us we build some very acceptable layouts.

Hi Alan.

Been a bit slow reading this post, (Been in Spain). Truly magnificent work.

I would love to see them running on The Llandudno Model Engineering clubs tracks. That would be a sifgt to see.
