I cant tell you much as its "secret information" but the Austrian company Halling have this week presented one of the prototype models of a Croydon Tram in HO scale to Transport for London in the "hope" of getting a license to make the model.

A good friend of mine has been the go between for TFL and Halling.

Oh yes, that looks very familiar! They used to have a couple (If my memory serves me correctly) wearing Nescafe adverts??? At least I think it was something to do with coffee.....
Haven`t seen any evidence for a while, have these decals now been removed.....?

I can also vaguely remember a purple one, and also a yellow tram, possibly advertising Ikea?

Yes you are right.

The Purple tram was advertising Addington Palace. The Yellow tram was advertising AMEY, which was the first tram I travelled on the first day of public use and some kid puked up on it. It stank!!!!
