What does the box in Peterborough North yard control ? Presumably this is linked to Peterborough PB but how does it release it trains - does it require release from the PB ? How did the box survive and the layout not included on the PB panel ? Any good locations to photograph it ?

I do know that the box is Eastfield, and will have to interface with the PSB, and that it has semaphore signals, so is still a mechanical box. The nearest overbridge is Westfield Road, but whether or not you can get a decent shot, I don't know. In the meantime, have a look at this:-
