Very Happy Hi All.

Been a little quiet of late. (Building a number of locos for a friend of mine).

Here is a shot of my Dean Goods taking a run on the layout. This a Javelin kit.

Also visited my friends large loft layout this week, this is one I built & painted for him about 8 years ago. We gave it a good run and I am pleased to report she is running very well with a lot of miles under her belt.

Likewise this 2-6-4T I built & painted the same year for him. Also still running very well.

Great work Jazz, as usual. thumbs up!

I built two LMS 'Jubilees' in Gauge 1, one was painted in crimson lake and the other in BR green (customer's preferences). I have to admit that the crimson lake one looked superior. Cool

Very Happy Another for my Pen-Y-cwm layout. This is the MMP kit. I have used the Slater's wheelset and Slater's 7L001 Spur gearbox/motor unit. Running on a compensated chassis she perform extremly well.

Very Happy The class 08 now with Dinghams fitted and doing the first turn of duty on Pen-Y-Cwm with returning trip working out of Shrewsbury.

This photo is caught earlier in the day whist the sun was up on the outward journey.

There is also an increasing number of ready to run models in O gauge now.

Agreed, and some are very nice too. Unfortunately, unless you can build kits or scratchbuild, 0 is a bit expensive. As I've said elsewhere, personally, given the choice of a large 4mm layout or a modest 0, give me 0 everytime. The cost if you are able to build your own kits is not that different.

I dont agree with you about that. for instance a djh class 37 kit is over 400 quid but a heljan rtr is to be about the same, for oo you are talking 60ish quid a loco there is no comparison. I would prefer to model only O gauge but 1 I dont have the room and 2 I cannot afford it.

When I modelled O gauge, I scratchbuilt everything, buying only motor and gears, and maybe sprung buffers if the correct ones were available. So the cost was very low for me.
