Or maybe you are contemplating a switch to this scale?

I did have a layout many years ago which was an attemp at modelling London Euston. Lots of Lima 86`s, blue and Grey mk 1`s, and a scratchbuilt class 83! Most of the stock has long gone, but I did come across a few bits quite recently; An 86, a few coaches, and a few wagons. Also a few spare parts.

Ebay, or for another day??

The quality of stock now makes me wish I had started on 'N'. Scale length trains are so much more impressive.

I changed from N scale (US), which I had modelled extensively for several years, to British 4mm.

The quality of N gauge is certainly better than a few years ago, but still not up to US model standards, particularly those made by Kato and Atlas.

I did have a short relationship with N gauge many years ago but for me it is just far too small. I can't see what I am doing. However my club has several member who enjoy N gauge and the results of their efforts can be seen at
