Please do change/remove the thread if it is deemed necessary, but I thought I'd kick things off for the month.
On the first day of the month, I was pleasantly surprised by this sight. I have since learned it has been dragging 87s for Bulgaria about the place. In the heavy rain (the month might as well start as it means to go on and carry on from August!), here is 47727 parked up by the semaphores as a 170/5 arrives from Birmingham New Street (don't ask which one, I fail to remember the useless fact):

Well, I'm dead certain this will have to feautre as one of my shots for the month, significant as the first time in several years you can get a proper shot of a passenger HST climbing the Lickey bank.
This is 9S53 06:40 Plymouth-Aberdeen shot at Pikes Pool, 43303 leads 43301. Expect more shots from around here in the 3 months it's booked an HST! _________________ Much love, peace out

I'm surprised how few entries we've got so far!
You've got my vote thus far Mumrar, looks a brilliant location! Can you get there without a car? _________________ Julian

I'm sure I can find 3 September photos before the deadline.
Just to keep the numbers up... |

Good good!
Don't forget, only 12 more days to get your photos! I plan to have something nice and blue to enter on Saturday, something I hope will find more favour with the voting than I usually get! _________________ Julian

Something nice and blue referred to 40145, as it's coming my way tomorrow.
However I've got a nasty cough (still, 4 weeks now!) and a very annoying cold to go with it (only 2 days so far with the latter). Boots' brand tablets haven't worked jack squat on the latter, rather peeved off. Going to have to miss 40145 at this rate, although I'm going to make maximum effort to get her in on the return. _________________ Julian

Don't you mean 37145
Hope you get rid of your cold |
I thought it looked like a 37 when I first saw it in Large Logo!
Cold is virtually gone, in its place is a chest infection. Made me miss 40145 in the end, so I doubt I'll have many entries for this POTM _________________ Julian

My third and final entry also features sun (who'd have thought it?) and I was paid to take it too! Went up to Berwick to shoot the XC HST with it's shiny mk3s and was rewarded with sunshine when it did it's return trip from Newcastle
