Updated my site with a few photos of 37607 + 37688 on 6M95 Dungeness-Willesden Brent taken today. I chased the train visiting Dungeness, Swamp Crossing (near Lydd) and Appledore. Also saw RH&DR No. 3 Southern Maid.

Today I chased 70013 Oliver Cromwell around Kent. I saw the Brit at Westwell Leacon (Charing), Canterbury West and Sturry. I saw it at Chilham as well, after a quick dash up from Westwell, but because of a road diversion, I got delayed a little and saw it zoom through when I was about to get out of the car. Also saw 67021/002 today on a VSOE at Sturry.

SWT liveried 73201 arrived at St Leonards Depot today top and tailed by two tone grey 73107 and GBRf 66702. I saw the colourful convoy departing Hastings station this morning. I then went along to St Leonards depot where I found 07011 in the perfect position for photos, 73212/213 stabled outside road 4 door and 66702 moving around. 73107/201 were inside road 3 so no shots were available.

Today I went over to Ashford to see 60041 rescue a failed 66731 + engineers train. Later in the day the 60 also failed when it would refuse to start. So EWS dispatched 66079 from Dollands Moor to Smarden (between Ashford and Headcorn) where the worksite and where both 60041 + 66731 was. The 66 then hauled 60041 + wagons + 66731 from the worksite through Ashford and onto Dollands Moor. I also saw 92041 today, which was working an Enterprise from Dollands Moor to Wembley.

I made my first visit to the Mid Norfolk Railway on sunday 21st. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of locomotives in use. It was a superb day with beautiful weather. Then one week later, you saw some different locos. Smile

I had thought about going to gala you went to but decided on going to the EE gala instead, mainly for 73210.

Today I spent a couple of hours in Kent catching no. 5 Hercules and no. 6 Samson on the RH&DR and 20315/313 on 6M95 Dungeness-Willesden Brent at Caldecott Crossing and Appledore.

I love the sound too. The drivers of 6M95 seem to thrash up the 20s more than they do on the 37s when on the Dungeness Branch. We've only had two 37 pairings down on it this year compared to several last year and there asn't much thrash or sound compared to the 20s.

First update of October for me. Today I went to Crowborough station to see 37059 and 37609 work 1Q14 Hither Green-Hither Green SERCO. I saw it there twice, one when it was going towards Uckfield and once when it was going towards London.
