You don't need to be Sherlock Holmes to guess which one I voted for (hint: it wasn't the 47...)

And I'm sure hammy can guess which way I voted - and it wasn't for anything with a pair of 6's in the class designation!

Both good photos though........

Remember we should be voting for the overall photo, not just the subject!

A good photograph of a Pendolino is always better than an out of focus, with someones head in the way picture of a Deltic on the mainline.

An odd example, but I think you get medrift!

Got your drift alright, can just imagine such a photo...

I've voted for the 66 at Barnetby in this one. Nice and colourful, like the huge numbers of semaphores which seems to frame the loco and its trains fairly well.

I do like the one of the 47, but the Barnetby one looks better to me. With my vote, it's now 4 votes for the 66.

Yes, I know.

Barnetby photos are unlikely ever to get votes from me, though, unless they really knock the other entries into the shade - I work through Barnetby so often that any shot of the place is automatically "nothing special" to me.

It's a bit like someone putting a photo taken in your street up against a photo of somewhere you'd never seen (or hadn't been for years) - the latter photo is immediately at an advantage.

Anyway, I was only winding up a certain rodent. Cool
