Anyone seen the advert on the telly .
Build your own Flying Scotsman in umpteen weekly parts at a fiver a week.

I wonder if they include a motor and gears Question

no the price does'nt include a motor thats an extra option towards the end also they are offering some track as an optional extra all at extra cost
i dont think i'll bother as it's a DJH kit and if you collect all parts it'll cost you nearly £650 when the DJH kit is currently selling for £467

i noticed that last nite and when i saw the price when i will be finished i was astonished, how much will the engine and track cost as an extra

Its amazing these part works. Apparently Del Prado, who i think are doing the flying scotsman kit, made over 400 million last year or something. Hundreds of millions anyway. Amazing really. I doubt more than 10% of these kits will be finished. Its not exactly a begineers kit is it? I mean its got complex valve gear and stuff to build. And it takes over two and a half years to get all the bits, ata fiver a week, plus motor and track.

I got the first copy, all that scrap brass for 50p. I am an "O" gauge modern image modeller so can always use scrap brass offcuts.
